TLDR: The Great British Baking Show has various mini-cake molds used throughout the seasons. They use:

What The Bakers Use

Wilton Non-Stick Mini Fluted Tube Pan (Amazon - UK)

The Great British Baking Show mini-cake tins have constantly shuffled as they're an essential baking need for the bakers. When baking mini-cakes, savarins, mini-bunt cakes, rum babas, cupcakes, or any other tiny cake, the tins come in extremely handy.

For that reason, as I am able to identify them I'll update this list of mini-cake tins.

In general mini cake tins tend to come in 2 forms. Either a stand alone tin, where the bakers will employ something like 8 individual tins to make all their cakes. Or one large tin with some number of molds in it, where the bakers will fill each of the molds, and bake the whole thing.

Personally I find the later method much more straightforward, but I'll catalogue both methods for the sake of completeness. That and if you're a crazy person who wants 12 different tins to bake one dish... well - we've got you covered!

Individual Mini Savarin Tin - season 11

In the semi-final of season 11 the bakers found themselves making a signature bake of mini savarins. Each of the bakers chose a different method to do so. Two of the bakers used 12 mold tins, while one used individual tins, and another used silicone molds (which I'll cover in another post)

The individual mini savarin tins are Webake Mini Fluted Tube Cake Pans (Amazon (Cuisinart) - UK (Webake)). These can be identified by the round edges (as opposed to scalloped) as well as the fluting within the tin itself.

Webake is a Chinese company which targets both US and EU markets. They have a few lines of baking ware, one being non-stick, and an aluminum plated steel series. They're one of the only companies that make the miniature baking tins in this format. As such you can find them in places like Walmart and Target. However, they do not seem to be available on US Amazon, nor are they available in the fairly limited selection on the Webake site.

However, Cusinart does make an extremely similar miniature savarin baking tin that is available on Amazon and is roughly the same price. There is a slight variation of the fluting on the interior of the tin, and the Cusinart has a 1/4 inch larger diameter. Otherwise they're identical, and both come in packs of 4.

Doughnut Baking Tin - Season 11

Homarty 12-Cavity Donut Pan Nonstick Baking Pan (Amazon UK)

While baking the savarins in the semifinal Laura chose to go with rum babas. As such these do not traditionally have flutes adorning them. Instead they're fairly smooth all-around. To accomplish this she chose to use, what I strongly believe is the Homarty 12-Cavity Donut Pan Nonstick Baking Pan (UK).

Hear me out! I've looked at every available option for baking pans readily available that are made of this copper colored non-stick material. They all have flat edges (Such as this Chefmade tin), while Laura's has the metal edges curled over themselves. Additionally the baking tin does not have any markings. Every other semi-legitimate brand stamps their bake ware somewhere. Her tin has no markings what-so-ever.

There are some brands that sell at Walmart that have curled edges, but they all tend to have 2 holes in the edge where the edge was folded and stamped. Hers does not. So it would seem like this random no-name brand (who is Homarty!?) managed to land themselves in the hands of one of the bakers.

That said, if you're looking for a more reputable company to purchase from, the Wilton Non-Stick 6-Cavity Donut Baking Pans (Amazon - UK) have over 16,000 reviews and a 4.8 star rating. That is incredible. Wilton was formed in 1929 in Darien, Illinois, and in their 90 year heritage have created some incredible products. They even resell well on ebay for some reason!?

If you don't need the copper colored pans, and can live with 2 pans of 6 doughnuts, go with the Wilton! They're a top quality pan you'll be happy with. Wilton also makes 12 mini-doughnut pan (Amazon - UK) if that's your jam!

12 bundt cake tin - Season 11

When making multiple bundt shaped cakes the bakers have been using what looks to be the Tala Performance 12 Cup Mini Decorative Cake Pan (Amazon UK). This tin, as it's name implies, has some nice fluting and is used to make multiple bundt cakes at one time. It's easily identifiable for 2 reasons, first all of the cavities interior spikes have holes on the top of them. Secondly, it does not have areas on the side to grasp.

Tala was formed in 1899 in the UK and has been going strong since. They have a long heritage and make some nice pans. The pans seem to have limited availability and sellout frequently on both the Tala site and Amazon UK. They do not seem to be available on the US Amazon.

If you can not get your hands on the Tala pans, Wilton makes a nice 12 Cavity Non-Stick Mini Fluted Tube Pan as well (Amazon - UK). This is again by the aforementioned Wilton, and again clocks in with thousands of 5 star ratings.
